Your information, kept small
SciNatured is a not-for-profit corporation in Niagara Falls, Ontario. We collect as little as we can, and only to run the rhymes, the jury, the club and our partnerships.
- For kids we only keep a first name, age and country. A grown-up's email is our only way to reach them.
- We never sell your information or use it for ads.
- You can ask us to see, fix or delete what we hold about you at any time.
What we collect
- Drawings: the image, the artist's first name, age and country, the grown-up's email, and which rhyme it's for.
- Membership: name, email, country, your note about why you'd like to join, and whether you join paid or free.
- Support and sponsorship: name, email, your message, and for sponsors the business name, website and month. Payments are handled by our payment provider: we never see or store card numbers.
- Organizations: your organization, name, email and the details of your challenge.
- Contact form: name, email and your message.
What we use it for
- Showing drawings in the gallery and announcing winners, as described on Consent & permissions.
- Running the jury. Judges only see a number and the drawing.
- Counting each artist's drawings toward free membership.
- Sending confirmations and replying to you.
- Keeping the financial records the law requires.
What we never do
We don't sell or rent your information, we don't show ads, and we don't share your email with sponsors or partners. Sponsors never see who drew what.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to receive forms, store drawings, send emails and take payments: [list of services]. Some of them keep data on servers outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of those countries. We only choose services that protect data properly and only share what they need to do their job.
How long we keep it
- Drawings and the artist's first name, age and country: while the drawing is in our gallery, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Grown-ups' emails: while you keep sending drawings or stay a member, and up to one year after.
- Payment and sponsorship records: six years, as Canadian tax rules require.
- Contact and partnership messages: up to two years.
Children
Children don't send us anything themselves: for anyone under 18, a parent or guardian fills in the form. We only publish a child's first name, age and country, never a last name, school, city, email or photo.
Cookies

Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email scinatured@re-prod.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date below and tell members by email.
